Story//Background:
Ryn used to be much like any other young girl, but at 17, she suffered a terrible curse from a beast, that made her go completely blind for a time. Thanks to her friends and a considerable amount of magic, one of her eyes had its sight completely restored, but the other seems to be forever cursed.
In exchange though, through her epic journey to save her world from the creature, she grew strong, and attained extraordinary magical and summoning powers.
Personality:
Although Ryn is in fact quite a happy girl, her personality has been greatly affected since the curse was put on her; she has quiet, shy and has a melancholy look about her, but she has a strong, protective and motherly nature to everyone she cares about.
No-one feels threatened by her, but you would never want to make her angry...

Story//Background:
Calder is in fact the human form of Ryn's pet, who turned out to be the spirit of water.
After their long, emotional journey together, she (previously thought of as a he -- still nobody is really sure) decided to stay with her mistress and take on a human body, and life.
Although she still possess strong elemental magic, she much prefers her human life, and all the new possibilities that come with it.
Personality:
Since taking on her new body, Calder's personality seems to be quite different; she can be obnoxious, stubborn and just mischievous in general.
Although fiercely loyal to her friends, she doesn't like to feel particularly attached to anyone but Ryn much, since she's no longer a snuggly animal creature, but the two share a deep understanding of each other, without having to say too much of anything.
