All About Ashy
Although this blog is mainly a dolls only place, I thought it might be good to share a little information about myself as well. : )
Firstly, the basic, more obvious stuff; my name is Ash, I'm from the North-East of England, and was born October 11th, 1988.
History:
Although I'm friendly enough to speak to, I've always been quite a solitary soul, which led me to collecting random objects from a young age (some useful items, some not so much)
While growing up I collected Original My Little Ponies, TY Beanies, Pokemon Cards and Figures, Video Game statues, etc.... I think I first discovered BJDs in around 2006, when I accidentally came across one on Google Images -- I was a little into anime at the time, and thought that it was a very interesting next step from that...until I discovered the world of them, and price, haha.
By 2007, I discovered there was a con in London that would display some of these dolls, so I decided to make a trip of it, and visit...from then, I was hooked.
I spent nothing more on my trip, and saved until I could afford the two dolls I'd fallen in love with (and couldn't decide between!) -- Dream of Doll E-an and Camine.
Before too long, I discovered a true love for these dolls that I never had for something I simply collected in the past, so I gradually sold off most of the collections I'd saved, and...well, that's the gist of my beginning in the hobby. : )
I still collect some things; Items from the video game series Assassins Creed, and Final Fantasy VIII, Spirithoods, Pop Figures, and "Eeveelution" items from the Pokemon series. A lot of these things are bought traded and sold, but these guys are my main focuses. : )
