The Resins: A Brief Introduction

Woo, this place is starting to make a little more sense already!

I had trouble sleeping last night, so I spent some time wandering around, and trying to make sense of it all -- turns out its not so bad, when your mind isn't already frazzled.

Suppose I'd better get on to the main subject - the subject I hope this blog will mostly be about: Dollfies!
For anyone unfamiliar with this term, I provided a link to the wiki definition in my previous post, but yes, I'm very close to my 'little brats'. : )

My facination with them began in late 2006, when I saw a random one on a google search - I don't know who he belonged to, but he was a purple-eyed boy named Haku.
Now, even as a kid, I was creative -- I especially loved character designing, and would spend hours working on backstories, plots and ridiculously complicated stuff even before I started playing with the toys in question.
Unfortunately, being home-schooled//self-taught, I didn't get to work on any of  the artistic ability that was in my head...I like to collect, modify, and tweak, but that's about as far as I can go without help, which is why when I further looked up dollfies, I basically flipped out, and decided I had to have one!

I sold things and saved like a crazy person, and the "need" only intensified when I went to an anime convention and saw a doll -- a DOT in person for the first time. (first reaction: "Holy Cow, he's HUGE o__O" LOL!)

By mid 2007, I had saved enough to buy my two favourites - DOT Camine and E-an, AKA Kaden and Ryn.

Since then, there's been:

Yasuo (CP Yder),
Calder (CP Chiwoo Girl)
Akio/Toshi (KDF Ttori)
Pillan (CP Breakaway)
Jim (Leekeworld Peanut)
Sed (CP Chiwoo boy)
Chii (KDF Woori Girl)
Amaya (DOT Calla)
Riddley (CP Miyu Mod -- her name keeps changing because I am trying to place her still)
Alex (Crobi Yeon-Ho B)
Nikolai (MNF Shiwoo)

And the family is always growing! ^___^

In fact, Sam (Crobi Nia) is on his way to me!
I've been in love with Nia for a while, and thankfully my good friend J'Lostein found him going on the DOA marketplace!
So happy I got him, but I have to say, the postal service in Mexico is appalling; I ordered him just before Christmas, and he's still out there! They've been very unhelpful, but it sounds like he should be here within a week...I'll be sure to post pictures when he gets here!
Hope the vampire Yder I had to sell to get him is doing okay -- he was actually a gift from my Parents, which is a real first! I was sad to see him go, but we just weren't getting on. Lydia has gone to a nice new home too, as well as Chii's old boy body... so I'm not too out of pocket, all in all. : )

I'm also selling some clothes and stuff online and on Ebay, so hopefully that will help too.

I'd better get on with it, actually -- laters!
