Bad Dollfie Mother?

Just thought I'd post a little update on things before NewYears begins...

Firstly, my boys Niki and Zach are home!
I haven't been able to get pictures of them yet because I'm stuck in bed with a terrible flu bug, but I can assure you they both look absolutely amazing -- I couldn't be happier, and hopefully I'll get some pictures on here soon.
Not only of them, but the Ante girls Odette and Emelyn too -- their debut is long over-due, and they finally have the right eyes in them, so they look pretty wonderful too. : )

Another piece of news... remember in my last entry, I mentioned a project I really wanting to do regarding Jim, my little favourite? Well, its going ahead! I found the perfect girl for her, and thankfully the kind seller on DOA let me have her on the budget I have, so she's on her way too!
Here's a picture that I got from the seller's post:

What do you think? The face, expression and even colouring is absolutely perfect if you ask me, and I always wanted to own a Volks Megu... she's beautiful! <3
Haha, I'm a little excited, as if you couldn't tell...
Now, she has set me back a bit financially, so her steampunk clothes/goggles, etc will have to wait a bit, but I do have some things ready for her...simple things, and a red wig is on the way...
Guess its time to start saving again!

Now, onto the subject that inspired the title...
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, another dollfie owner, when we realized that its Heather's first birthday with me coming up! My friend asked me what I was going to get her for the occasion, and...well, I hadn't even thought about it -- I've never given my dollfies birthday presents and such! Is that terrible? : /
We had a chuckle about what a terrible Mother I am, but it did make me think...maybe it would actually be a better idea to do things that way?
I mean, I know my dollfies are characters, they're not real and I don't feel guilty, but when I do buy dollfie things for my little guys, it does tend to come in bulk - I always thought it was a better idea, but maybe it isn't?
Maybe if I buy things for individual dolls at a time, as if they were gifts//birthday kinds of occasions, it would work out better, you know, financially and with customs and even individualizing them a little more...what do you think? I'd like to hear how other dollfie owners go about this stuff -- do you buy all your stuff at once, or bit by bit? Send me a message or something. : )

Anyway, it also got me thinking about my guys' birthdays//arrival dates...its been such a long time, collecting them since 2007!
I listed them, even, in order I got them... xD

There, I'm not completely heartless, right? xD
They definitely don't go without love or attention anyway, they're spoiled rotten, every single one!

Speaking of which, before I go I wanted to have a quick rant about a certain DOA user who has annoyed me no end!
A while back, I had to sell one of my dollfies that was a much appreciated gift from my Parents (who don't usually support my hobby - it was very kind of them!)
Anyway, he was an absolutely beautiful WS Delf Yder boy, with a faceup by one of my favourite artists, Belladonna...he had an amazing gothic//vampire look to him, and I absolutely loved him -- it was difficult to see him go! Still, he went to what seemed like a lovely, kind owner who appreciated him greatly, but recently, I came across him in the marketplace, and what she posted about him made me so angry!

Basically, when he arrived with me, two fingers were broken on his hand, but I fixed them so well, you can barely even tell (its what I do, since I used to collect resin figures//models before dollfies), the nose stud that was glued to him fell off, so I re-attached it...besides that he was perfect - not a fault on him!

Now, in her post, she's broken all the fingers on his other hand, glued them on very badly, blamed me for the nose stud saying I attached it -- we added no more glue than was already on his nose from Belladonna's work -- it was fine and I spent a lot of time on it making him perfect, and also she had the nerve to say he had yellowed, I deceived her and getting him from me was a "rescue mission"!
He was perfectly white when I got him, I even posted pictures and compared him to others!
Whatever she has done is her own mess, but I am very sad for that beloved Yder..I wish I'd kept him now, and I hope he goes on to someone kinder... I'm also not impressed that this person was willing to blame me and damage my reputation on the board though -- I prefer to buy most of my dolls etc from there, and could do without the hassle, however, she didn't mention my name personally, and already gave me feedback on his perfect condition when she bought him, so whatever makes  her feel better at this point, I guess...
It just made me so sad to see him...as far as I can tell, he only went for $300-something - he's worth so much more! :(

Anyway, that's enough from me. I'm very sorry to him, but hopefully he will go onto a better owner who can fix him up and restore his beauty to what it was.
Onwards with my own dollfie progress, yes? : )

Laters, and I hope you all have a great NewYears!

...actually, just some pictures of the beautiful Yder, for memory's sake:

(Note: this one was not taken by me, but the original owner)
